MY POOR BLOG!!
When I finished my last post for the month of November, I thought I would try really hard to continue posting every day, even if it was just something quick. Well, what the hell happened?? I'll tell you what happened, December started moving, my countdown tree kept blinking, my kids kept doing...what kids do, I kept doing...what I do...AND then to top it off I have to get ready for Christmas! Well, something had to give...besides the Bank of Judy...to every retail establishment within 50 miles! I guess my poor blog had to suffer. Actually this past week everything has. Not only have I not posted on my own blog, I haven't been reading all my favourites or commenting and my poor Scrabble games on Facebook...well, it's all I can do to keep up with...all 10 of them (slight exaggeration!). I KNOW...the injustice of it all! Yes, poor me! HA...yea, me and all the rest of you moms out there!
This time of year just seems to get busier every year and slip away even faster. Actually, I don't mind all the frenzy of the holiday season but I really do hate how quickly it goes by and is all over for another year.
This past Saturday my girlfriend and I took our daughters to see Hannah Montana. (Yes, post to follow!) Not the most convenient time of year considering everything else there is to do and it certainly didn't help when Sunday, everything was pretty much at a stand still from the snow storm. That really threw a wrench in my plans!
Then Monday night the kids finished this session of swimming lessons, Tuesday morning was Jesse's Christmas concert at school, Tuesday night was Emily's, tonight Emily had piano....and on and on. In the midst of this I'm helping them get their teacher gifts ready...for school and daycare. I bought these cardboard flower shaped boxes at my favourite scrapping store when they had their big sale so now I've got the kids painting and decorating them (yes, post to follow!) as well as making cards for everyone. I didn't even make my own cards this year..and I STILL only got them mailed out this morning! Then to top it off, my co-workers decided we should all bring in treats tomorrow. No, I didn't buy something pre-made! Sheepishly she confesses...I got my husband to make chocolate cupcakes for me! Of course, I'll pass them off as my own give him all the credit!
Today I also went through all the kids gifts...good grief...there seemed to be bags in every closet of the house! After hauling everything out, I realized I have too much stuff for Jesse and not enough for Emily! I have no idea how I managed that!
Anyway, this is my little mid-December full-of-excuses post...also full of exclamation points I see! That's because I'M EXCITED, EXHAUSTED and RUNNING ON ADRENALIN...ALL AT THE SAME TIME...which makes me talk faster, type faster (and too much by the looks of this!) and not slow down until every gift is unwrapped and every shortbread cookie and chocolate cupcake is eaten!!!

So, will your husband be bringing some of his, I mean, YOUR chocolate cupcakes for his co-workers as well?????
You are more than welcome to come down and have some of our treats today!
Oh, I hear you got invited to their chili potluck...and almost uninvited too..LOL!!!
I think perhaps we should all call an official blogging hiatus until Dec. 26th. Then we can not feel guilty for ignoring the blogs!
Oh Jude, I even read it fast!! We're all in the same boat, aren't we? I haven't read your blog (my favourite daily pastime) in weeks, I think! I agree with Alissa -- blog hiatus until after Christmas! - marianne
OH MY GOODNESS!! I am so glad I am not the only one who sherked off making cards this year. I felt horrible not making them, but couldn't find even an hour to squeeze them in the schedule!
AHHHHHHH...it's the Christmas panic now!!!!
Guess it's time to teach my hubby how to bake!! LOL!!
Well, I did my christmas cards last night! And I have cancer! C'mon girlie get your act together! Obviously, I'm just kidding - did you get your x-mas card? I e-mailed it to some & also posted it on my blog!! That's it, that's all anyone's getting this year. Listen, all I can say is enjoy these years while your kids are young and you get to do the Chrismas concert thing...I really, really miss that part of having little ones. And...I must say I am really looking forward to getting a kid-made X-mas card! I haven't had one of those in years so it'll be cherished in this house, that's for sure! Love ya, Jude!
it will all work out...
