WEEKEND UPDATE

Well, after my Friday night of fun skating with Jesse, the rest of the weekend was much more uneventful...busy, but more of the usual...running here, there and everywhere...without falling down I might add!

Saturday morning I took Emily to cheerleading practice. It was her first day with a competitive team. Last fall, her and two friends wanted to try it and it was just an eight week recreational group. Of course, all three of them loved it and wanted to continue so we're going to try it and see how it goes. At this age, they don't travel far but you still have to be very committed, which is fine. As they progress though, there's a lot more time involved (summer included), of course more money, a lot of fundraising and quite a bit of travelling.

The rest of Saturday consisted of lunch with her one friend and her mom, birthday present shopping for another of Emily's friends whose party was that afternoon (invitation came Tuesday!), and skating lessons for Jesse. That night Tim and I watched Transformers. It's actually a very good movie...non-stop action and a little eye candy in the form of Josh Duhamel!

Today was spent cleaning the house, cleaning out my scrapbooking store (that's what my girlfriends call my over-abundant stash of supplies!), playing Yahtzee, helping Jesse build a home for his Webkinz, and taking Emily to soccer practice.
Tonight was spent watching NEW episodes of shows..how refreshing!
The Amazing Race was really good tonight...I'm so glad Nate and nasty Jennifer are gone! Awww...poor Jenn got eliminated on her birthday...karma's a bitch baby!! I'd be happy to see any of those final 3 teams win. Actually Ronald and Christine would make me the happiest since I have them in our pool at work but I'd really like to see the grandfather/grandson team win.
Brothers and Sisters was great...as always! I love it when the whole family gets together for dinner, you know there's going to be trouble.
Did you see the Golden Globes or what was supposed to pass for them? That's probably my favourite awards show, movies and TV stars all in one. You can always count on Jack Nicholson to be front and centre having a good time and the speeches are usually quite entertaining! Tonight I only turned it on a couple times during commercials of something else. It seemed to be really boring! Did anybody watch the whole thing, did they even talk to any of the winners?

Anyway, how was your weekend? Do anything exciting?

I think the Golden Globes are so good because movie/tv stars + alcohol on the tables = a good time! I watched it for maybe a minute.

I cleaned the house, top to bottom. Finished the mountain of laundry. Went to the grocery store. Took a nap.

Really, not a bad weekend! Certainly not as busy as yours!
