THE LAST OF THE LONG WEEKENDS!

Well, another long weekend has come and gone...Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!

Friday night Marianne, Marlene and I went out for our annual "giving thanks for our friendship" dinner. As always we had a great time. We even went somewhere new...which for "blah eater me" is a real feat! We went to Moxie's in Mississauga. It was fabulous...the food, the atmosphere..really nice. Even the washroom was amazing! Marianne came back and said we HAD to go see it. We did...and took pictures! We heard the men's washroom had TV's above each "spot" but I can't say for sure...we got caught trying to peek in...oops!

Saturday afternoon my brother and I took his daughter and Jesse to the Rockton Fair (Emily had a birthday party). A few rides, a few games, some cotton candy and they had a great time! The weather even cooperated after that crazy storm we had in the morning.

Saturday night I took Emily to see The Game Plan. We both LOVED this movie! Emily even said it's one of her favourites. Has anyone else seen it...what did you think?

Sunday we had Thanksgiving at my mom's where I ate waaaaay too much....turkey, mashies, gravy...yummy!!!

Monday my girlfriend Kathy and her kids went with us to the Oktoberfest parade. It really is a great parade but this year it seemed exceptionally long. Even the kids were getting bored...they actually asked to leave! We certainly couldn't have asked for a nicer day though. I don't remember the last time it was so warm you could wear shorts and t-shirts on October 8!

That's it now..no more long weekends in 2007! Here comes Christmas...yippee!!!

I'm going to send you the pics I took in the washroom at Moxies. Well today it's so cold it's not hard to imagine "next stop" is Christmas. Sounds like you had a wonderful THANKSgiving weekend. - marianne

I can't wait to see Game Plan! We're hoping to take the girls there in the next couple of weeks. It looks hilarious!

Okay - gotta admit...I'd have to try to see if there were actually TV's in the men's loo too!! LOL!!!

Are you sure you're a part of our family? We Irvine girls would have walked right in that men's room (we would be courteous and announce that "we're coming in!" - we're not brash or anything like that). Did your mom make tarts at Thanksgiving? OH!! I miss her tarts? They don't know what tarts are in the states. They think a tart is, well, um, a floozy. LOL!! She could always send some down. I should e-mail her and do the "guilt trip thing" - you know - I'm Cancergirl, you have to make me tarts!! ROFL!! Gotta use it while I can!
