WHAT IS GOING ON??

Last time I checked, I was pretty sure I was living in Canada, you know C-A-NA-DA...Great White North! It's January for heaven's sake...and it is POURING RAIN out. I just got back in from walking the dog and I'm soaked...not just damp...drenched! It rained most of the day and at lunchtime I thought we were going to get a thunderstorm. This is crazy!
It was 13 degrees here at 6 o'clock tonight. That's celsius for all my American friends...fahrenheit, I'm not sure but let's just say much, much warmer than it ever should be for a January day here. Last week we were freezing..that would be in the area of a whole lot of minus something (ten, fifteen) celsius.

Why walk the dog in the rain you ask? Because I'm making every effort to do some sort of physical activity every day, ok, at least a lot more days than I was, which recently was basically zero! It's NOT a resolution, it's just me doing something that needs to be done. I turn 44 this May so my goal is 44 AND FIT by then...wish me luck, I'll need it.
So far I'm doing ok, not breaking any speed barriers or cardio records, just a little walking and skating so far. Friday night and Sunday afternoon this past weekend Jesse and I went skating and I'm planning on at least one day a weekend becoming a regular outing. Normally Emily would come but Friday she was at a friend's and Sunday she had soccer.
Oh, and it's time to dust off the gym membership again. Now that Christmas is over and the kid's winter activities schedules are set, I'm sure I can find a couple hours a week to get myself back there.
There you have it, I've put it out there for all my 5 readers the world to read! No turning back now...success will be mine!

well, it was 71 here today with thunderstorms and tornadoes. I realize we're not in the great white north, but it should still only be about 30 degrees! Weird.

I woke up at 3am and though the house was going to either float away or blow away from the torrential downpour. CRAZY!

Good Luck with the exercising.. :) That would mean you need to DECREASE your McD's consumption.

lol at Holly's comment. Or maybe increasing the exercising makes it possible to eat MORE McD's...
